I recently started printing using NinjaFlex (which is really outstanding) on my Replicator 2 printer. On thin-walled prints with an angled orientation, I often encountered the issue where the output cooling fan would push the filament to one side, causing it to miss the layer below entirely. To address this problem, I sought a solution that involved redirecting the air flow from both sides of the printer head. Initially, my version of the fan duct had a major flaw - it was too low and hung precariously on the right-hand side due to its design and reliance on only one support point. Realizing this issue, I decided to clip the duct securely in place on both sides of the carriage. The process began by creating clips that could attach to the printer's moving parts. These were then combined with the fan housing before adding air ducts. The first iteration unfortunately resulted in too much coverage and low placement for the heating element, ultimately causing damage to a 3-hour printed test piece made from PLA. In a repeat effort, I utilized T-Glass filament this time around and reinforced it with copper tape to effectively dissipate heat buildup during prolonged prints at elevated temperatures. After about 10 hours of continuous use in printing nylon at 250 degrees, the modified duct design showed remarkable resilience, even staying cool to the touch once the print had completed. The prototype remains in its work-in-progress state since I have not extensively utilized it over a prolonged period, and as such some minor adjustments may still be required. I am considering carrying out airflow analysis in the near future, however my lack of specific tools makes this goal more difficult at present. Fortunately, a user has graciously offered their assistance with such analysis! Meanwhile, several users have experienced airflow-related issues caused by the original small holes within the air duct design; consequently, an improved model featuring larger openings was produced to counteract excessive airflow while ensuring continued three-sided support. Noting Fisk4's feedback requesting wider compatibility for those possessing the aluminum upgrade to their printers - in which case, they can widen up the body of the machine by approximately 1.5 millimeters, I uploaded a tailored adaptation for their exclusive needs
