Use this holder to level your Replicator 2 build plate precisely. I successfully employed this reliable dial gauge, found at http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000LFYK0A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and paired it with these effective magnets, ordered in quantities of 10x1mm through http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00991BA5A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The initial idea for this solution came from the inspiration found in Thing 222379, and was created completely from scratch. Instructions: First off, you must print out the designed thing, apply glue to secure these 10x1mm magnets underneath (superglue proved perfect for this job), then carefully insert the chosen dial gauge – this should generate sufficient friction to provide a tight grip. To get accurate results when levelling, do the following: Raise the build plate until it's in position, and relocate the extruder to the exact centre of the platform. Utilizing paper as a spacer and fine-tune adjustment screws for maximum precision. Remove any hindrance from the extruder, place the gauge where the nozzle used to sit – be sure zero the readings with great accuracy. Now go back and adjust those vital screws until the gauge registers exactly zero across the build plate at all times.
