Replicator 2/2X X-Harness Strain Relief
thingiverse
This work-in-progress aims to address concerns about the Replicator 2/2X wire harness. It is crucial to proceed with caution, as there are potential issues with the standard ribbon cable's continuous motion rating and flex points in the Y gantry and motor mount area. The proposed solution includes a printable part that supports the cable, prevents sagging, offers a rounded 90-degree bend path, and provides a cable clip. User feedback is appreciated. Printing instructions include 100% infill at .15 layer height. Carefully remove machine side, X-motor's roll pin, and cabling without causing stress on the susceptible cable. Route cables through the printed part, ensuring enough space near the motor mount for clipping with minimal slack. Gently press the part into the channel, avoiding excessive force, and move the extruder out of the way while holding the motor if needed.
