Replicator 2 & 2X LCD Button
thingiverse
This is a button designed to print in NinjaFlex and replace a defective control panel button for the Replicator 2 or Replicator 2X. When printed in NinjaFlex, it's slightly stiffer than standard buttons but still functions as an adequate replacement. We've been using one of these buttons on our Replicator 2X printers for almost four months now and it continues to work flawlessly. Check out our latest blog post detailing the updated version here: http://thor3d.ca/wp/replicator-22x-lcd-interface-button-replacement/ Instructions Print this button at a relatively low infill percentage using a flexible filament like NinjaFlex. We achieved optimal results with 20% infill and three shells, but would likely try 15% infill for a lighter weight in our next print. You'll also need a contact point for each of the five buttons, which we accomplished using the heads of copper-plated nails designed to hang copper pipe straps. These worked decently, although you may need to tidy them up slightly to ensure there aren't any rough areas that could damage your contact points on the board.
