For reasons unknown, the original design didn't slice perfectly with Simplify3D. The bracket was re-modeled with the exact same measurements to eliminate any discrepancy, and some crucial support fillets were also added for extra strength. What's more, a clever adjustment was made by removing fillets from the edges of the bracket, an experimental change that might simplify printing process in unexpected ways.
