The "ten13th" design for Replicator 2X was so impressive that I adapted it for the Replicator 1 Dual. This fan provides excellent airflow where needed. To create this setup, I combined the "ten13th" nozzle design with minor modifications and used acetone to glue it to a Fan Guard with Deflector (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:31801). I modified the nozzle to increase its back area for better adhesion of the two parts. The Fan Guard allows for easy removal without requiring an Allen wrench, although it does obstruct the fascinating view of your creation being made. However, I encountered an issue with extra-long dual color prints (both extruders hot). The nozzle was too close to the hot extruders, even with ABS. To rectify this, I insulated the nozzle using double-sided foam tape and aluminum foil, and removed it when active cooling wasn't needed. For printing on Replicator 1 Dual, I used RepG/Sailfish Ver 40/r22, ABS extruder at 220°C, platform at 110°C (enclosed), 10% infill, layer height of .20, one shell, feedrate of 40, travel feedrate of 55, and a print temperature of 220°C. Before assembly, test-fit the Fan Guard and Nozzle and mark where you want to glue them, as there is limited clearance. Finally, glue the Fan Guard and Nozzle together to complete the setup.
