Replicape Case in OpenSCAD No grill is provided for the fan, as it mounts to the outside of the case, making an integrated grill unnecessary on the inside. Various grill designs are available for fans, both printable and manufactured, and users must select one with suitable safety features for their specific fan and situation. The Beaglebone with Replicape should easily snap into the case, with the case itself snapping together securely. To insert or remove the Beaglebone, press up on the bottom of the case while inserting the board, which will slightly spread the clips. The case clip legs are somewhat fragile, so handle them carefully when inserting them. Insert both clips just inside the edge of one side, then gently pinch the legs on the other side into the case and slide together until it clicks. For successful printing, examine the example parameters at the end of the replicase.gcode file, particularly print layers with text labels at .15mm or thinner for optimal legibility. The most likely parameters to modify are the fan settings at the top, which include the X and Y offset from the center of the fan. Other adjustable parameters, such as the width of the mounting flange and screw diameters, may also be of interest. Changing other parameters can have unintended effects, as the model is over-constrained and easily specifies nonsensical values. The default settings were developed as a quick transcription of measured and documented sizes. Use M3 x 6mm-8mm or #4-40 x 1/4" to mount the Beaglebone in the bottom if you're not satisfied with the clips alone. Depending on your printer, you may need to drill these holes out to an appropriate size. This design was originally inspired by a model found on Thingiverse, but no code or shape is preserved in this version.
