Replica of wood finial

A buddy had a piece of furniture with ornate details on top - during a move, one fell off. I was going to snap a photo and draw that, but didn't feel like breaking out my good camera, so I decided to give creating a replica using a fully constrained parameterized sketch a shot, taking measurements with precision calipers. Probably the difficult way to approach things, but it allowed me to print the template (using the same profile) and test it against the actual piece. Exported in high resolution and printed at 0.050mm layer height, this has to be the best surface finish I've gotten straight off the printer. I used wood-grain filled PLA and am leaving it up to the owner to figure out how to stain it to match!
