I've been working on version 1 of a Cam Cleat, with the goal of 3D printing almost every component except for the spring at the bottom. I did manage to create a functional version using a printed leaf spring, but that was more of an experiment than anything else. The key improvement I've made is to "invert" the peg on the prawn-like parts, which have been redesigned with a 3mm wide and 8mm (or possibly 6mm, I'm not entirely sure) deep hole. Instead of using a standard peg, I'm now inserting an M3 threaded rod, which should provide a more secure hold. To complete this design, you'll need to source 66 4mm ball bearings, which can be printed. Additionally, I've included a basic fairlead that significantly increases the overall strength and stability of the Cam Cleat.
