Replacement X Carriage for Monoprice Select Mini V1
thingiverse
This is a long time project. I've had the MPMini for about 5 years now, it was my first introduction to 3D printing and it has a special place in my heart. I've upgraded it so many times, mostly due to my breaking the original hot end, and deciding on buying an E3D V6. Some of the other upgrades on mine include replacing the Z stepper and rod, replacing the extruder stepper, and replacing the entire board with an Arduino Mega/Ramps 1.4 kit running Marlin 2.0.5.3, after frying the original. The printer really isn't the same thing anymore but I love it, and it still produces great prints. The last upgrade I needed was auto bed leveling. I added the BLTouch about a year ago, but wasn't happy with my poor attempts at creating a good E3D mount with the stock carriage. I'd found a wonderful replacement carriage here, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3134206, and I used that as a base for mine. I also wanted to move the part cooling fan to the rear of the carriage and I found this design I like, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1246425, and used it as a jumping off point for mine. I put a lot of time into this upgrade and I'm very happy with my results. I hope some folks out there might find it useful. I've included the step file so if you need to make any adjustments I missed. All parts are printed in PLA, 0.2mm Layers, and 20% Infill.
