This is a replacement plunger carrier designed specifically for the affordable Taurus Airsoft gun, offering a cost-effective solution for owners who want to breathe new life into their beloved $20 firearm. After roughly 100 rounds of use over a decade-long period of inactivity, my plunger carrier recently gave out, prompting me to take matters into my own hands and create a replacement part that would not only restore my gun's functionality but also enhance its performance. To give it an added edge, I decided to incorporate a subtle yet significant modification - adding approximately 1mm to the spring perch. This tweak not only amplified the gun's power but also presented an exciting opportunity for further experimentation. I am seriously considering developing another couple of versions that would take this design even further by shortening the spring perch even more. My intention is that this fix will be beneficial to others who have encountered similar issues with their Taurus Airsoft guns. By providing a detailed description of my process, I hope to empower fellow enthusiasts to tackle this problem and bring their own firearms back into action. When it came to printing the replacement plunger carrier, I opted for a 101% scale to account for the inevitable shrinkage that occurs when working with ABS plastic. This strategic decision ensured a precise fit and optimal performance of the part. PLA, on the other hand, would not be an ideal material choice for this particular application due to its distinct properties and limitations.
