Replacement Solidoodle extruder with quick release

This printable alternative substitutes the fragile original Solidoodle jigsaw extruder assembly. Inspired by Lawsy's Mk5 design and built from scratch using openSCAD, this improved version includes a flip-up quick-release latch for tension arm, stronger hinge pivot points, optional swinging mount for a small 25mm PEek-assembly cooling fan, and a connector bracket for coax power connectors like those used in security cameras. Version 2.5 updates include an increased back spacing on the arm for better roller alignment, longer hangar tab length, and a slightly enlarged fan holder for enhanced clearance. Print all pieces at high infill (preferably 100%) with support, except for the fan mount and connector hanger which can have low infill. Clean off support material with a sharp knife. If available, use an m8 tap to cut threads into the idler bearing hole in the tension arm piece, and an m3 tap for the two lower holes in the undercarriage support tabs. Ensure openings are cleaned out for easy passage of m3 screws. Carefully disassemble the existing jigsaw mechanism, saving all screws and lock nuts. Assemble the flip latch shaft with a long m3 screw, large washer, spring, small washer, and thumb nut from the original tension arm assembly. Mount the flip latch shaft to the upper guide assembly and left side of the guide using m3 screws. Insert an idler wheel bearing into the tension arm using the original m8 screw, then mount the tension arm onto the extruder base with an m3 screw and locknut. Mount the extruder base onto the stepper motor using two m3 screws, and attach it to the Solidoodle x-axis carriage using the long m3 bolts and locknuts from the original design. Optionally mount a side connector hanger with coax connectors, and install an end stop tab with an m3 screw. Level the bed and adjust z-level and x-axis endstops as needed. To use, lift the washer with your thumb, pinch the spring while flipping the latch up in one smooth motion to secure the tension arm. Release by flipping the pivot up.
