Replacement plier grips (TPU recommended)
thingiverse
I was desperate for replacement grips for my trusty pliers that were slowly succumbing to rust in my garden. I scrubbed them clean with white vinegar, but the handles were irreparably cracked and beyond salvaging. I designed these custom grips and printed them using TPU filament - I wouldn't recommend PLA as they might not fit snugly and lack the necessary strength. Recently, I've been experimenting with TPU filament and it seems virtually unbreakable. I printed the grips at 200 degrees hot end temperature, 50 degrees heat bed temperature, and a 0.2mm layer height - although using the heat bed might be unnecessary. There are four versions of the grips available, differing only in width and design features like spur or straight edges. If you prefer a spacious, comfortable grip, simply print one of the wider options.
