Replacement Plasticville Frosty Bar Sign
thingiverse
I have an O scale model train layout that replicates the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad's stretch between McKees Rocks and Youngstown. I'm a fan of Plasticville, but my main town on the layout is actually Aliquippa, PA - my hometown. And in Aliquippa, we had a Dairy Queen. I created a program using OpenSCAD to make a new sign for my layout. Fonts were a challenge, especially for the "Dairy Queen" font. I discovered that the town name was pretty close to "Arial", but the original Frosty Bar sign didn't match any font I had available or could find. So, I chose the font "Pump Demi Bold LET". To get it as close to the original sign as possible, I adjusted the "spacing" parameter. You can use the Customizer to make a new sign for your layout.
