Replacement Outboard Motor Lanyard Clip

Replacement Outboard Motor Lanyard Clip

myminifactory

My friend down the street was in a pickle when he snapped off a crucial part from his fishing boat's outboard motor. He'd identified it as the deadman's switch assembly, or so I later found out he called it - the lanyard clip. Whatever its proper name may be, he couldn't find a replacement anywhere. That's when his 3D printer came to the rescue! After measuring up with my trusty calipers and doing some CAD work, I made a few tweaks to ensure smooth printing without any supports needed. Before you could say "jackrabbit," I had it printed out in just 15 minutes flat - and the boat was back on the water in no time!
