Replacement of "Z Axis Upper Holder" for SunHokey Prusa I3 3D Printer
thingiverse
The SunHokey Prusa i3 has an acrylic frame that's surprisingly fragile. Something as simple as holding or fixing it can cause damage, so when one of my Upper Z Axis Holder parts broke a few months ago, I had to get creative. After several attempts in Autocad and SolidWorks, I finally managed to design a replacement. The new part has the same thickness as the original and works on both sides. I'm confident that this piece can be used by anyone who needs it. I've uploaded some files for you: Autocad 2015 File (2D) SolidWorks File (3D) Just To Print STL File (40% infill using Repetier Host) All along, I've had to use a ziptie to hold the rod in place.
