Replacement nose for the Vario LYNX

Also check out my other Vario Lynx parts in my profile. Update: I added panels and windshield wipers to the nose package. A Navy nose for replacing the original army/prototype nose on the Vario Lynx 7050 model. Cut around the nose, starting at the panel line on the top and sides. Try to achieve a flat face, but it's not critical as the replacement nose has a 5mm flange that allows for some overlap. I did not achieve a perfectly flat face myself, as you can see in the photos. The gaps were filled with epoxy and micro balloons. Insert the new nose in the opening. It should fit all VarioLynx fuselages because I used the actual Vario nose cross-section as a basis for modeling the nose. I will add more printable detail, like antennas and panels for the nose over time. I could make the nose with all the detail present, but it is best to start with a clean nose as it has to be sanded to get rid of the printed finish without ruining the detail. There is an integrated mount on the rear bulkhead (bottom of the print bed) for installing a 30 mm computer fan, sucking air through the intake on the top of the nose.
