Replacement jacks for Early Music Shop Harpsichord from 1976
thingiverse
I've successfully restored an antique harpsichord, made in 1976, by replacing its old wooden jacks with 3D printed ones and adding damper holders for the 4-foot stop. The instrument now plays smoothly and will soon be painted in a period style. Listen to it here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3703861/EMS_harpsichord.mp3. Future plans include automating it with 61 solenoids! A fun feature is the contrasting colors of the jacks - white for black notes and black for sharp notes. If you're interested in replicating this project, contact me at mmessiter@gmail.com for detailed instructions on printing the parts, purchasing necessary items from http://www.hubharp.com/parts.htm, and adjusting the jacks' rail height.
