A quick thinking solution was devised to resolve the hissing and malfunction of HVAC controls for 3rd generation Camaro/Firebirds (1982-1992). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mv782CIJDks Problem: Small tabs break off and GM does not supply a replacement part. Solution: I attempted the workaround but experienced clearance problems in my 1992 Firebird, so I chose to fabricate a custom made part that was more robust than the original.
