The Sphero 2 robot (no longer made, I believe) is a sealed unit. When the Li-polymer rechargeable batteries need replacement the outer shell has to be broken open, which often causes damage. This design is a replacement shell of the right size, made in two halves that fit positively together. The Sphero Mini is about half the size and has a shell that clicks open for recharging. Also included here is a scaled design for the Sphero Mini, that can be opened and closed.
