***UPDATE: Version two has thicker walls. I'd been printing a lot of these, and the sides were occasionally breaking off during install. Turns out they don't need to be so thin. The hinge pegs on my friend's waffle iron disintegrated over time. Eventually, it was unusable. She knew I had just gotten a 3d printer and asked if I could use what was left of one hinge to replace them. The geometry looked simple enough, so I spent ~30 min banging out a crude SCAD file. The printed piece looked OK, but I figured "Nah, there's no way it could be this easy." Popped right in. Waffle production resumed immediately. I actually vapor polished the pieces to harden them a bit, but in my haste I didn't take a photo of the shiny pegs before we installed them. Trust me, they were beautiful. Instructions Wrote the attached SCAD Rendered an STL Printed the STL with 100% infill using black ABS at 0.3mm layer height Vapor polished the two pieces Shoved them into the hinge holes on the waffle iron
