So I have a perfectly functional Dyson DC07 upright that had some broken bits. One in particular was the handle to the canister. Sure, there are still parts available, but they were only selling the entire assembly; while I'm not cheap, I object to throwing away all of that plastic and otherwise functional bits. The lack of a handle on this model makes… well, handling the vacuum difficult at best.So I made a replacement handle to glue on.This is one of my last projects done entirely in the Prusa Slicer; yes, it's insane. Yes, I'm learning FreeCad because I'm already thinking of half a dozen projects that won't be possible otherwise. Yes, that's why I've not updated in awhile, because I was having too much “fun” getting the hang of the program. :PBut I digress. After mucking about for a bit I was able to create a comfortable handle that didn't interfere with the canister functionality. One thing I'd do different is I'd use the Gorilla Glue clear epoxy “next time” to avoid the work I had to do to clean up the JB Weld (which was overkill anyhow).
