Replacement Hand Crank for BBQ Fan

Replacement Hand Crank for BBQ Fan

Because I lost the hand crank for my BBQ fan, I made a replacement part myself. This custom-made part can also be used in all cases where a crank with a 6x6mm² four-cornered shaft is needed. I added an arm model with a 5x6mm² pin on request from usernameisalreadytaken. Printer Settings: FlashForge Dreamer Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.20mm Infill: 100% Notes: If possible, use circular external fill in your print settings to improve the stability of the parts. A 100% infill is necessary to make a strong connection from the arm to the four-cornered shaft on it. With less infill, the shaft will only be connected over the upper layers of the arm to unstable infill. This connection would break with minimal force. Post-Printing: Put the axle in the right direction through the arm and secure it with some super glue. Make sure the axis is at a right angle to the arm. Shift the handle over the axle, apply some drops of super glue to the lock, and press it into the axle's end. Be careful not to let any glue come into contact with the area where the handle meets the axle. Otherwise, the handle will be fixed in place and unable to rotate. How I Designed This: I designed this part using FreeCAD. Custom Section: Unfortunately, I have discovered that hundreds of models from Thingiverse are being sold on eBay without respecting their Creative Commons license. The Vero-Team from eBay refuses to acknowledge Thingiverse or MakerBot as legitimate corporations, nor do they recognize the CC-license as a valid one. Thingiverse itself has declined to provide support for members who want to enforce the rules of the CC and instead recommends continuing the pointless dialogue with parasitic sellers or hiring a lawyer to stop them. In reality, the CC license is not worth selecting when sharing models. I'm forced to remove all my models due to this situation, as I refuse to waste my time for the benefit of these antisocial parasites. If you're interested in obtaining the model files, please contact me directly. If you're an active member here and have shared your own models, I'd be happy to send them to you. Regards, SnowHead
