Replacement gradations for Avalon Classic Recurve Sight

thingiverse

I got an [Avalon Classic Recurve Sight](https://lancasterarchery.com/products/avalon-classic-recurve-sight) for my recurve bow and found that the gradations it came with made no sense: the marks were spaced 2 mm apart, but the vertical adjustment screw moved the sight 1/16th of an inch per turn! So I whipped up a new set of gradations based on 1/16th of an inch, so that each full turn of the vertical adjustment knob moves the sight up or down exactly one mark. ## PDF version You can download a PDF version of the file via [this Google Drive share](https://drive.google.com/file/d/14sb8TV9rKoYVU6Q5Cg6mxYNxczBXtp7z/view?usp=sharing). ## Instructions 1. Print out, making sure the print is scaled exactly 100% (each "strip" should measure exactly 5.5 inches tall). 1. Cut out one strip of gradations. 1. Clean the existing gradations on the sight; no need to remove them as you'll stick this one over them, just clean them with a bit of rubbing alcohol to ensure good adhesion. (Make sure you've removed the protective film the sight shipped with.) 1. Adhere the new strip of gradations over the existing ones using double-sided tape, 3M spray adhesive, etc. (I printed mine using laser printer label material). 1. Happy shooting!
