Replacement gear for reduced character spacing on Dymo Omega (label maker / embossing device)
thingiverse
TL;DR: Gear part with 10 teeth, to replace the original 8-teeth part in the Dymo Omega embossing label maker. Reduces the character spacing on the printed labels by about 1mm. More details: I didn't like how far apart the letters were on the labels from my Dymo Omega embossing label maker. So I disassembled it and found the part that is responsible for how far the tape is pushed forward with each printed character: it is this small white gear (see the picture of the half opened device where it is visible). The original gear had 8 teeth. I designed a replacement with 10 teeth. With this, the character spacing is reduced by about 1mm. (See the picture of labels printed with the same text before and after the modification.)
