Replacement Gear and Camshaft for vintage Fisher Price Little People Merry-Go-Round

I bought a vintage Fisher Price Little People Merry-Go-Round for my niece, but when I got it, several key parts were missing. The small cam shaft and gear that are supposed to make the ride look like the carny is turning a crank to spin the ride were nowhere to be found. These intricate parts were designed using Fusion 360 software. Please note that these components are tiny, so they may not be suitable for young children to handle on their own. To prevent little hands from disassembling them, I considered gluing them together. Although this might make it more challenging for small fingers to remove the pieces from the toy, even as separate parts, it takes some effort to get them off or on the ride.
