Replacement Fuel Valve Knob - KTM

After repeatedly breaking the fuel tank on/off/reserve valve knob for the third time, we designed this knob as a direct replacement. This plastic knob offers improved durability and should withstand sharp impacts without shattering, such as when the bike is laid down on rocks. (1) Perform a trial fit of the new knob over the existing one to ensure a proper fit. If the remaining part of the existing knob is too large to fit into the new knob, use a file to shape it so that it fits smoothly. (2) Drill a small hole approximately 2mm in diameter in what's left of the existing knob. (3) Thoroughly clean and degrease the existing knob for optimal bonding results. (4) Fill the inner chamber of the replacement knob about half full with an epoxy such as "JB Weld". (5) Use a toothpick or similar tool to push the epoxy into the four holes on each side of the inner chamber of the knob. (6) Use the same toothpick and fill the hole drilled in the existing knob with epoxy. (7) Install the new knob over the old one, ensuring it is fully seated. (8) Secure the knob in place using tape while the epoxy sets up.
