Replacement for Pentair LXLATCH
thingiverse
My Pentair pool control box latches snapped after ten years of withstanding scorching sun rays. The part that gave way would demand a $50 replacement component to fix it. Not so if you have access to a 3D printer. I measured the broken part and created a brand-new one that should fit perfectly in place. To ensure durability, print this part using high-temperature rated filaments such as ABS, PETG, or PC. If your pool control box is exposed outdoors and frequently bathed in sunlight, consider utilizing UV-resistant plastics for added protection. PLA, PLA+, HIPS, and SLA resin printing are not recommended. ( The photos displayed here showcase a beta version of the part, taken before I completed curving the bottom edge. I initially thought incorporating a corner would strengthen or harden the part, but it ultimately made little difference either way.) You might need to adjust the print scale by 1% up or down to ensure an exact match with your latch. Print a few test layers before producing the entire latch to guarantee optimal results.
