Replacement for Dyson DC07/DC14/DC33 U-Hose Assembly DY-92119801

This is a replacement removable U-Pipe for my ~15 year-old DC14 vacuum. This part mounts under the vacuum to connect the extendable hose to the filter assembly. It's designed to be compatible with the OEM replacement part Dyson DY-92119801, and that part replaces DY-90424304, 904243-13, DY-90424309, DY-90424314, DY-90424315, 904243-15, 904243-09, 904243-14 and 921198-01 on several variants of the DC07, DC14, and DC33 models.Alternate sourceIf you prefer not to print this, an aftermarket part is available here for ~$21 as of October 2023. I have not ordered this part from that vendor, but I very much appreciate them sharing part number, compatibility information, and exploded part diagrams.https://www.ereplacementparts.com/ubend-service-assy-p-2565706.html (This is not an affiliate link.)Printing the partIt is printed in two parts. I glued mine together with Loctite Superglue. The U-Pipe is printed upright to give a good surface finish on the sealing rings. The part that engages the OEM yellow mounting clip needs to be printed on its side to provide strength and flexibility to engage the clip. A screenshot included above shows the recommended print orientations. I printed with support material in PLA. The U-hose and it took ~8 hours, the clip tab took ~20 minutes.Suggestions for improvements:The tab-to base mounting is currently a flat plane. Adding teeth or a V-shape here would increase the gluing area and help positively locate the part. The fitment of the tab to the OEM hose clip is looser than I'd like. This could be tightened up, but does not impact performance.Alternately, the OEM hose clip could be eliminated and a printed clip integrated with the part. I like this solution and would implement it if I have to print another one.The wall thickness of the tube is a bit thicker than the original. This does not impact performance. In the suggested print orientation there are some "droops" from a lack of support on the inner radius of the hose. These were knocked off manually and do not impact performance. If left in place they likely would be a spot to catch clogs.Designing manual supports for this part could dramatically decrease the print time and material cost. It only needs a single long rectangle to support the tube and the underside of the flanges could be tapered into the pipe without impacting performance. The Fusion 360 model is included, if a bit messy from multiple design revisions.
