Replacement Drop Pod Doors
thingiverse
After some experimenting, I discovered that the doors were rotating in the 'closed' position and falling off a bit. Trimming them further made them looser. A magnet (with holes drilled into both sides to help keep it in place) was considered as a solution, but ultimately I decided to rotate the hinge snaps instead. This has been accomplished by turning the ends of the hinges 90 degrees. The old doors are attached as a .zip file for your convenience, and you may find that they worked better for you than this version. More Drop Pod Details See my full drop pod online at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:446893, where I have provided everything in an extremely detailed manner. In a bit, I'll be posting a picture of it on my site. Kushan77 and outofstep - Huge Thanks go out to you two! This version features greeblies and more detail to add a touch of fun. For the most part, these print with excellent detail when printed at high resolution (.1mm). Print supports are used without rafts, while printing with the interior side facing downwards, leaving behind some remnants that give it a tread-like appearance.
