When the chrome layer starts to flake off, this is what you need to print ;)\nKnob is designed for an M6 bolt&nut.\nPrint with the hole facing downwards on the bed and pause just before the hexagon cutout changes back to a circle. Check this in your slicer and note the height or layer number.\nIf you use a bolt, you will need to print the knob at a height of 15mm below the bolt length or 10mm depending on the STL file you are using. Add a few extra mm for safety.\nI use Simplify 3D to slice my objects and I can put an object at some height above the bed then generate support as needed. Modify support as required and don't forget to remove all support under the hole where the bolt needs to be inserted!\nI included two versions (see cross sections above) for different bolt lengths. Holes are 25mm deep. The bolt starts in the 15-5-5 version at 15mm, in the 10-5-10 version at 10mm.\nYou could also use two versions with a nut and use a piece of stainless threaded rod\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: \n Folgertech FT5\n \n Rafts: \n Yes\n \n Supports: \n No\n \n Resolution: \n 0.2 mm\n \n Infill: \n 40%\n \n Notes: \n You don't want to have support in the hole! Check that before printing!\nSupport is only needed if you print a knob at height when using a bolt. Within S3D (or your slicer) remove all support under the hole with the manual support tool.\nCheck also inside the bolt in your slicer preview.
