Replacement directional switch for a cordless drill
thingiverse
I've been holding onto a broken directional switch for my old Channellock cordless drill. It was the only thing stopping me from using the drill anymore, so I decided to create a brand new one. I'm pretty sure the original was made from ABS plastic, but right now I'm prototyping with PLA since it's way easier to work with. If necessary, I'll make revisions for fit and finish, but I think the model has all the correct dimensions; it's just the slicer settings that could cause problems. Considering how the original part broke into several pieces at its center, I would recommend using heavier infill or even printing the middle section solid, plus adding some support material.
