Replacement Depressor for Truck Systems Technology 507 Sensor

Replacement Depressor for Truck Systems Technology 507 Sensor

thingiverse

This is a repair part for the worn-out depressor inside my failed Truck Systems Technology, RV 507 Sending unit. They appear to be one of the few on the market with a plastic depressor instead of rubber or brass. The plastic gets misshapen when tightened against the drill pin in the tire valve stem. As sold by Truck Systems Technology, you'll pay around $109 for a 2-pack. If you're looking for a TPMS system for your truck, trailer, fifth wheel, motor home, look elsewhere than TST. At least check the sensor to ensure it's built to last longer than these ones. If you've already purchased them and have misshapen depressors, then print a few of these to get them working again. To use: 1) Remove the Sensor. 2) Using a dental pick, remove the rubber washer inside. 3) With a drill bit or dremel tool, remove the malfunctioning depressor and flush it with the bottom of the threaded opening. 4) Place a gasket over the newly printed depressor. 5) Using a spare valve stem as an assembly tool, thread the TPMS sender onto the stem a little at a time until the depressor and rubber washer are fully seated. 6) Return your sensor to your truck or RV and enjoy some extra life from the otherwise shot sensor. CAUTION: This modification will void your warranty. Check if they're willing to offer you any solution under warranty before modifying any of your equipment. In my case, they only offered to sell me another complete sending unit. Print Settings: Printer Brand: FlashForge Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: Yes Supports: No Infill: 100%
