THE PROBLEM:::::: I've been riding my Electric Scooter/Moped from China for three and a half years now, but recently it's started cutting out while in use. To get to the bottom of this issue, I completely disassembled the entire scooter. Upon stripping down the components, I found a small box that appeared burnt. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that some wires had shorted out due to exposure to water during our recent wet weather. This caused the wires to burn pitch black and become hardened and cracked further along their length, leaving them exposed to the frame. As a result, when these wires make contact with the frame due to movement or vibrations from bumps on the road surface, they cause the motor to shut down. THE SOLUTION:::::::: I took matters into my own hands by designing a replacement box cover using 123D Design software. I also insulated all exposed wires to prevent further damage and ensure smooth operation of my Electric Scooter/Moped.
