I have a collection of long Irwin "Quick Grip" clamps for woodworking, but the rubber covers seem to go missing all too often. After searching in vain, I decided to use OpenSCAD as an opportunity to create something new.\r\n\r\nThis was my first design attempt, and after making several adjustments, it fits perfectly like the original covers. However, a firm press is necessary to get it to fit snugly on the clamp due to its PLA material instead of rubber. The result is a satisfying *click* sound.\r\n\r\nI'm not sure about the long-term durability, but printing only takes half an hour. If any modifications are needed, I've included the OpenSCAD file for reference. My clamp opens slightly more than 12 inches (32cm) between its jaws, but I don't own a 6-inch version to compare it with.
