Replacement Coupler for Playmobil Trains

<p>This is a replacement coupling hook&amp;spring for Playmobil wagons.</p><p>Printed in ABS the spring is stiffer than the original Playmobil piece, but that also means the wagons are less likely to accidently uncouple.</p><p>The uncouple-lever was left out and overhang angles are relatively small, to allow printing without support.</p><p>The third photo is a comparison between the printed part and the original Playmobil coupler (which has a worn out spring).</p><p><strong>Update 2021-12-26:</strong></p><p>The first version of this coupler was printed on a TEVO Tarantula with cheap ABS. This caused the mounting hole to be undersized, that is why in the SCAD/STL the mounting hole is bigger than normally necessary so that my old print setup produced the correct geometry.</p><p>Now that I have a Prusa printer and Prusament the part prints more accurately. I had to modify the geometry so that the mounting hole fits again. I have uploaded the revised version of the coupler: playmobil_kupplung_v2</p><p>The 3rd and 4th photo shows the newly printed part. This is printed in Prusament ASA white.</p><p>I also added the GCODE for the new coupler. This prints 2 couplers in ASA with 0.1mm layer height for better stability.</p><p>Category: Mechanical Toys</p>
