IMPORTANT NOTE: Printing with a heat-tolerant filament like ABS or PETG is recommended due to potential deformation issues when using PLA under high-heat conditions. The Ubiquiti UniFi AP-AC may cause the current model to slowly deform, potentially leading to failure within days. A new design featuring vents for improved airflow and reduced heat buildup is currently being tested, with a revised version expected once proven effective. This ceiling mounting plate is designed for the Ubiquiti UniFi AP-AC Lite and the LR models, which share the same mounting mechanism. Unfortunately, a replacement was needed after one was lost during renovations, prompting an opportunity to learn Fusion 360. The provided model closely matches the original dimensions but features wider notches for easier installation and a prominent slope on the locking bar for improved retention. Two versions are available: a thinner and a thicker option. While this design may lack the optimized plastic-saving features of the original, it compensates with a lower infill percentage. The primary goal is functionality, which is achieved through careful engineering. Feedback has indicated that the locking bar design may require adjustment; however, the current implementation has proven effective for the creator's specific setup. The long slope on the locking bar edge facilitates easy installation, and no modifications have been deemed necessary. Support may be necessary for the locking bar slope; future versions will address this based on feedback received.
