So the case for my flash drive broke and I designed my own. It has some honeycomb openings for cooling and better grip. It also has an eyelet to attach to a string or key chain.

I put my name on the base of my personal flash drive. That way I hope to get it back fast if I lose it. I added the .stp file so you can individualize it easily.

The housing is 0.3mm bigger on the inside than the electronics what resulted in a snuggly fit when I printed it on my machine - no free play after bonding.

Print Settings

Printer:

Tevo Tarantula i3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

25%

Notes:

Designed for 0.4mm nozzle

Post-Printing =============
Step 1: Put the flash drive electronics in the base

Step 2: Glue the lid to the base

Put the lid on the base without any glue first. Then put some instant adhesive in the gap between the lid and the base on the long sides. Tiny amounts are sufficient! If you print this in ABS I think ABS glue/slurry might be the better choice.
When printed in PLA you can wipe off excess instant adhesive with acetone.

Category: Replacement Parts
