Replacement Cam to Fix Epson DS-510 Scanner Multi-Scan Feeding Issue
thingiverse
This is to resolve the widespread problem affecting Epson DS-510 Multi Page Scanners! The issue centers around a clicking sound when scanning multiple documents and the scanner feeding more than one page simultaneously. The root cause lies in a mechanical cam within the scanner that has malfunctioned, causing a roller to spin freely. This roller SHOULD NOT rotate when the switch on the front of the scanner is set to multi-feed mode (down). This replacement part corrects the issue with the broken component. I've thoroughly documented the replacement process in the accompanying photos. Please feel free to comment if you encounter any difficulties! Unfortunately, the order of the photos appears to be unchanging on Thingiverse; therefore, follow the numbered steps as instructed. To ensure successful printing, make certain to set your printer to 100% infill with a few layers of rafts to prevent the printed item from toppling over during the process.
