Replacement button for Tivoli Audio One
thingiverse
The fantastic Tivoli Audio Radio Model One comes with a fragile on-off switch that has a tendency to break down after several years of use. Two buttons in my household have already given out, and since replacement parts are nowhere to be found, I decided to design a fully functional substitute and print it using 3D FFF technology. The axle measures six millimeters in diameter, while the button hole is also six millimeters across. It's possible that this might fit a bit too snugly, so if you find yourself in such a situation, you can either carefully scrape off a small amount with a tiny knife or simply increase the object's size to 102% within your slicer program. The two knobs I printed may not perfectly replicate the original design, but they work flawlessly. When it comes to creating this miniature masterpiece, printing at a resolution of 0.1 and moving at a slow pace (~40 mm/s) will yield an incredibly fine surface finish. I used the affordable Malyan M200, also known as the Monoprice Select Mini, to print the buttons.
