Replacement Blender Cap

Replacement Blender Cap

After whipping up a mouthwatering pitcher of mudslides the other day, I promptly disassembled the blender pitcher and loaded all the parts into the dishwasher. My excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I saw that the tiny tabs holding the cap to the lid had snapped. It took me a few minutes to brainstorm how to replicate this in OpenSCAD. I then spent a few more minutes actually modeling it. I wish I could say the same about OpenSCAD's compile and render process, but unfortunately, it took over an hour at $fn = 50. The new cap turned out great and fits perfectly. It prints like a charm with no problems whatsoever. In fact, I think my printed cap is a better fit and a more impressive design than the original. The little nubs I added for securing the cap into the lid are much sturdier than the tabs on the original cap ever were. These nubs won't be breaking off anytime soon.
