Replacement Blender Cap
thingiverse
After creating a scrumptious pitcher of mudslides, I dismantled the blender's pitcher and loaded all components into the dishwasher. However, my spirits were dampened when I found that the tiny tabs holding the cap to the lid had shattered. Modeling this predicament in OpenSCAD required some brainstorming. Once the design was finalized, I wished my OpenSCAD compile and render time was as swift - it took over an hour with $fn set at 50. The new cap fitted seamlessly and printed without a hitch. In fact, I believe my printed version outperforms the original in terms of fit and design, thanks to stronger nubs that lock into the lid. These nubs are far less prone to breaking compared to the flimsy tabs on the OG cap. For printing, simply use your preferred settings. I opted for 10% fill, 3 shells, a speed of 40, and a layer height of .2 using ReplicatorG. This took approximately an hour and half to complete.
