<p>I got tired of paying more that $50 everytime this part broke (usually about once a year!) So I created this part to quickly and cheaply print one anytime it is needed!</p><p>Found PETG is better that PLA (not as brittle.) Printed upright, no support, but with brim. Printed in high resolution (.15 or better.) I had lost my spring, so bought some cheap ones from Dollar General (five for $1), broke one open, and used it-great fit.</p><p>I used acrylic paint to match rest of pen (most are black, so easier to match.) Sprayed with a clear sealer. Looks good. You can be creative and make some really neat designs…maybe with color changing, etc.</p>
