Replaceable Dust Filter for the Cr-10s pro Hotend Fan

<p>Dogs and 3D printers don't mix well. I try and keep my work area clean, but it isn't the dust that's the issue, it's the fine hairs from when my dog sheds that's the problem, and she does shed a lot. After a recent hotend fan change, I found that its early demise was 100% related to the wads of dog hair that got sucked into the fan and wrapped around it, jamming the whole thing up. As a solution I came up with a course filter that's not really designed to keep out fine dust, which can be blown away with an air can, but course particles like fur and/or strands of loose filament that get blown around. It uses a standard green scratch pad as a filter which lets lots of air pass through and trapping any hair that tries to get into the fan. The filter snaps right to the stock shroud that covers the fan so that it can be removed without any tools.</p> <p>Edit: I ran a 2 hour print after installing this mod, then another 8 hour one without any sign of heat creep, however for extreme length prints, I haven't tested and don't want to be an issue. I also don't want to put undo stress on the fan, so I removed a few layers of the scratch pad to allow greater air flow. It's not meant to stop dust, so this won't be an issue, but it WILL still stop the large fibers like hair, fur or strands of filament from getting into the fan. If you want to use the full thickness of the pad to help control dust as well, that's up to you, however I'd recommend you remove some layers, as I have, as it's passed all testing without the extra thickness. There's also the concern with older worn out fans, if they'd be able to handle the reduced air flow. I'd recently replaced my fan, so it's up to its full potential, but using the full 5mm thickness of the pad may be too much for a weaker fan to handle.
