Model SC-369 of the Harvard Museum of Comparative Zoology Collection of Blaschka Marine Invertebrates boasts a glass representation that is one of thousands crafted by Rudolf and Leopold Blaschka in the late 1800s as educational models for the masses. The EOL page http://eol.org/pages/448835/overview reveals this species of Cuttlefish (originally labeled Sepia bisserialis by the Blaschkas but currently recognized as Sepia elegans) reaches a maximum size of approximately three and one half inches, found in the Mediterranean and Eastern Atlantic waters stretching from Scotland's northern coast to Africa's western coast. A 365-photo composite created using Agisoft Photoscan brought this cuttlefish to life. The dorsal surface was constructed from painted paper, posing a challenge for photogrammetry alignment that necessitated careful masking of photos prior to processing. A digital replacement in Blender filled the gap left by the missing left tentacle. Four distinct sets of material properties were assigned to the dorsal area, the body's remaining portion, the tentacle, and the eyes.
