Repair Afterglow AG 9 Wireless headset
thingiverse
After a few years I noticed my wireless headsets were starting to crack in the middle of the headband. Months later more cracks had formed, and I was sure it would break any day. So I printed a reinforcing band with the same curve as the headset band and glued it to the band. Printed 50%, but less is probably better. The band should flex a little. Printed at 0.28, as the rougher the surface, the better the glue will bond. Rough up both surfaces with sandpaper, and apply a few lines of Gorilla Super Glue on both pieces, then press them together, slide them back and forth to spread the glue, then center the pieces (do this quickly, the glue dries fast!), then clamp for best results. The more glue on the contact area the better! Excess glue will squeeze out the sides and you can wipe it up before it dries. Using not enough glue will make it fail! The glue will dry to be usable in under an hour, but waiting 24 hours for a full cure is a good idea. Save money, and save your almost broken stuff from the trash!
