Repair Acer VX 15 hinges

The display hinges are a vulnerable point on Acer VX 15 laptops. The force exerted on the back panel is transmitted through tiny M2.5 nuts which inevitably detach from the thin plastic after some time. In my previous experience, I had to repair the hinges under warranty but the newly repaired laptop continued to creak when opening the cover. If the warranty has expired, owners have limited options - either purchase a new back panel or replace the original screws with through screws. To improve the appearance of the repair, I designed this 3D printed model which replaces the traditional nuts and washers with 12 M3x13 countersunk head bolts and 12 M3 nuts.
