At the filament's entry point, a dust removal tool is installed on the teflon tube to ensure clean filament reaches the extruder. Avoid using sponges for cleaning as they may break apart; bandage gauze works well instead. My printer is a MakerBot Replicator 2 by MakerBot. I use no rafts or supports, and print with a resolution of 0.2mm and 20% infill. Post-printing care is not required.
