Locate tears, rips, and wrinkles on the Kapton tape surface so you can move prints to areas without damage. This is especially beneficial for maintaining a good finish on direct-to-build-plate prints and also prolongs the life of your Kapton sheet. To proceed: 1. Print files at 1:1 scale using .dxf or .pdf format directly onto transparency paper. 2. Carefully cut out the printed image using scissors or a paper cutter. 3. Position the image on the build plate and inspect for any tears, rips, wrinkles, etc., by using a numbered measurement in millimeters to identify affected areas.
