Renkforce RF100 v1 extruder replacement cover. I made it to replace the original sheet steel cover that was missing from one of my RF100 printers. Holes for screws and filament guide are correctly located and have the proper size although they may need to be reworked with a drill bit. The hole for the fan is also in the correct place and has the correct size, but the protection grid has a round part in the center and I made it optional, if you don't want it just open the stl file to select and delete it leaving only the cross. The vent grill on the back of the stepper is the same size and in the same position but I just made a few rectangular holes instead of reproducing the originals with rounded ends. Update: Today I have reassembled the RF100 which was missing the cover. I also printed the cover with my other RF100 and after removing the supports and retouching the holes with drill bits I mounted it as is to take some pictures so you can decide if you want to spend the time printing it or better look for another or make your own design. I took the pictures without sanding it and without any other cosmetic retouching other than snipping off half of the grid pillars because with thin slots it seemed too restrictive to the heat coming out the back of the stepper motor. The artifacts caused by MS 3D Builder are visible in the printed piece but I don't think they could affect its structural integrity, I have tried several free STL file repair tools but none improved the defects too much, in fact most of them just moved them from one place to another. But for me the result is more than satisfactory, my main interest was to protect the connectors and the extruder PCB against damage and/or short circuits, so maybe I will paint the part after sanding it, but I will not waste any more time designing it again from scratch in another program. Update 2: I decided to also make the little support/spacer that goes at the bottom where the front screw of the cover screws in. The original part was just a sheet steel bent part with a 4mm diameter hole on the left and an M3 threaded hole on the right.
